mBlogger - Snap. Send. Share.

mBlogger is a free blogging service for uploading pictures on-the-go, or at home. These can be sent from your cameraphone, PDA or home PC. As long as your device can send an email it will be able to use mBlogger!

mBlogger is being developed as a project for the INF3330 course at the University of Oslo.

What is a moblog?

A moblog or mobile-blog is basically a personal blog dedicated to pictures that are taken on-the-go. Simply snap a picture with your cameraphone or PDA, send it to mBlogger and within a few minutes your site will be updated so you can share your picture with everybody.

mBlogger features

mBlogger allows you to:

  • upload pictures to your own personal moblog quickly and easily from your cameraphone or PDA
  • upload pictures either via email or MMS. If your handheld device (or your home computer) can send an email you will be able to use mBlogger!
  • easily rotate uploaded images
  • comment and let people comment on your pictures
  • create virtual photo albums with pictures you have uploaded
  • create buddy lists so you can show your friends' latest images on your moblog
  • easily display your latest picture on your own site (if you have one)
  • have people subscribe to your moblog RSS feed (so that they can subscribe a feed of your pictures)

How do I upload pictures?

Uploading pictures to your moblog couldn't be easier. To upload a picture, simply send a message (email or MMS) to mblogger@paulofierro.com.

Remember that the subject of the message must be "username-password" (without the quotes), using your own information of course. If you add text to the body of the message this will be used as the picture title, and you can always login at a later date to change the title and add a caption to the picture.
